Circular Ideas – Rethinking (Un)Sustainable Fashion is an hackathon organized by Fondazione Giacomo Brodolini Srl SB as part of the Consolid8 Project – Consolidating Deep & Inclusive Social Innovation Ecosystems, funded by the European Commission. The goal of the hackathon is to support the integration of social innovation actors into innovation ecosystems in Europe, as well as the integration of traditional innovation ecosystems into emerging social innovation ecosystems. Created in collaboration with Greencome, the hackathon aims to challenge creative and passionate minds to develop innovative solutions to revolutionize the fashion industry in terms of sustainability. The event aims to inspire and catalyze new ideas that can guide the industry towards a more ecological direction, promoting the concept of a circular economy. It will take place on November 39, 2023, at 5:00 PM at Open Incet.

Objectives:

  1. Circular Innovation: Challenge participants to think beyond the traditional model of fashion production and consumption, promoting circular ideas that minimize environmental impacts and maximize reuse and recycling.
  2. Sustainable Materials: Encourage research and development of innovative and sustainable materials to become the foundation of the next generation of fashion products.
  3. Awareness and Transparency: Create solutions that increase consumer awareness regarding the origin and environmental impact of fashion products while promoting transparency in supply chains.
  4. Sectoral Collaboration: Foster collaboration among different professionals, including designers, developers, sustainability experts, entrepreneurs, to ensure a holistic approach to creating sustainable solutions.

Event Format:

The hackathon will be structured into brainstorming sessions, prototype development, and final presentations. Teams will have the opportunity to work with mentors experienced in sustainable fashion and receive valuable feedback to improve their ideas.
