At the start of the G20 Business Summit, GSG is the official partner.

On December 1, 2020, for the first time, Italy assumed the presidency of the G20, the most important forum for international collaboration between industrialized economies and emerging countries. In parallel, Confindustria was asked to coordinate the B20, the G20 Business Summit, a specific working group on business and finance.GSG, the Global Steering Group for Impact Investment – the global network of finance and impact investment, of which Social Impact Agenda is the Italian node – will be the official partner of B20. The president of Social Impact Agenda and Human Foundation, Giovanna Melandri, and the secretary-general of SIA, Filippo Montesi, participated in the Inception Meeting and, in particular, in the work of the “Finance and Infrastructure” taskforce on Thursday, January 22, 2021. The working group (like the other 7 thematic taskforces) will meet monthly with the aim of presenting pragmatic recommendations to the G20. “At the center of the B20 document is finally the role of impact investing in building a sustainable and circular economy, capable of generating positive social and environmental impact,” commented Melandri.
