Dally Therapeutics and Marcopolo, both part of the Torino Social Impact ecosystem, organised a Screening Day at Toolbox Coworking in Turin dedicated to metabolic health and the prevention of type 2 diabetes, involving the agency’s team members in a concrete moment of health awareness integrated into the working day.

For Marcopolo, it was an opportunity to offer its team a moment dedicated to health without disrupting the work routine. For Dally, it confirmed the value of its corporate welfare service: an approach to health and prevention that moves beyond a medicalised and costly dimension, making screening, awareness-raising and digital support on health and healthy lifestyles more accessible.

Each participant took part in an individual activity with the support of a healthcare professional through Dally Screening, a certified medical device software. In just a few minutes, the service collects relevant parameters and information and provides a clear picture of the person’s metabolic risk profile.

This was followed by an individual feedback session, designed to explore the results in greater depth and provide guidance on possible next steps, including small changes in everyday habits.

The results are sent individually by email to each person. The company receives only aggregated and anonymous data, which cannot be traced back to individual participants and can be useful in guiding future welfare and health promotion initiatives.

This is a different approach from a traditional medical examination: the aim is not to tell people what to do or what to avoid, but to offer a simple, non-judgemental space to get to know themselves better. Many participants took the opportunity to ask questions and reflect on their habits related to nutrition, physical activity and lifestyle. This exchange was one of the most valuable aspects of the day, generating knowledge and awareness.

Bringing prevention into the workplace also means reaching people who, in their daily lives, tend to postpone check-ups and moments of self-care.

Marcopolo chose to give space to a topic that is often not very visible, but increasingly relevant to the wellbeing of people and organisations.

“We believe that prevention should reach the places where people live, work and build their daily habits,” says Emanuele Abbate, co-founder of Dally Therapeutics. “The experience with Marcopolo confirms that companies can play a concrete role in promoting awareness and health.”

“We chose to dedicate a day to the team’s health because this is a topic that usually remains outside the company agenda. With Dally, we were convinced by the simplicity of the format: an individual screening, in the office, without organisational complications. In order to activate corporate welfare initiatives, it is essential to start from data and involve the team,” says Rossana Bazzano, Strategy & Partnership Executive at Marcopolo.

The collaboration between Dally and Marcopolo clearly reflects the value of the Torino Social Impact ecosystem: bringing together different organisations active in the same territory to build concrete projects capable of combining innovation, wellbeing and social impact.
