On November 4 in Milan, “The Economy That Does Good”, Avvenire’s annual conference dedicated to the civil economy, returns for its fourth edition. Torino Social Impact is a partner of the event and will contribute to the discussion through its spokesperson Mario Calderini, who will take part in the panel “Social Impact: Measuring Change”.
People, experiences and tools serving the common good: this is the guiding theme of the fourth edition of “The Economy That Does Good”, the conference organised by Avvenire, which will take place on Wednesday, November 4, from 5:30 PM, at BASE Milano.
Torino Social Impact is a partner of Avvenire for this edition of the event, which brings together different experiences and areas of expertise to explore some of the tools through which social value can be generated: from building relationships of trust through fundraising to new approaches to philanthropy and impact measurement.
The collaboration is part of a broader pathway developed with Avvenire around the themes of the civil economy and impact, which has also given rise to Impact Territories, the column published in L’Economia Civile and dedicated to territorial experiences and new forms of collaboration among different actors.
Strengthening Alliances to Multiply Impact
Connecting institutions, businesses, finance, the Third Sector, the research community and local communities lies at the heart of the Torino Social Impact project. It is through the ability to build connections between different skills, resources and perspectives that more effective responses to social needs and tools capable of generating lasting change can emerge.
From this perspective, territories represent a fundamental space for experimentation: places where innovation and impact can come together and where collaboration among different actors can evolve into new models, policies and projects oriented towards the common good.
Social Impact: Measuring Change
Mario Calderini, spokesperson for Torino Social Impact, will bring the ecosystem’s contribution to the discussion by taking part in the panel “Social Impact: Measuring Change”, dedicated to experiences and tools for amplifying the social impact of initiatives.
Also taking part will be Francesco Catanese, Head of Research, Strategy, Impact & Sustainability at Entopan, and Giuseppe Maino, President of BCC Milano. The discussion will be moderated by Pietro Saccò, journalist at Avvenire.
The panel will offer an opportunity to reflect on the role of impact measurement not only as a reporting tool, but as a way to understand the change generated, guide decision-making and strengthen the capacity of initiatives to create social value.
Participation in the conference further strengthens the dialogue between Torino Social Impact and Avvenire on the civil economy and on the need to build alliances rooted in territories, capable of bringing together different skills and tools in pursuit of shared objectives.
