Open innovation plays a significant role in the development of the competitiveness of the Italian entrepreneurial fabric today. However, managing innovation from laboratories to the market requires the creation of new cross-cutting skills—legal, managerial, financial, economic, and social—capable of implementing actions that weave the local and global networking of individuals, groups, businesses, and institutions.

To meet the growing demands for cross-cutting skills, the Ministry of Enterprises and Made In Italy has promoted the establishment of the “Interuniversity Second-level Master’s Degree in Open Innovation & Intellectual Property” since 2015. Developed in collaboration between the University of Turin, through the SAA School of Management, and Luiss Guido Carli University, through the Luiss Business School, the Master will be presented and discussed by its Directors, with the contribution of representatives from the Polytechnic of Turin Incubator (I3P) and key actors in the Turin ecosystem, during the Open Day event scheduled for Tuesday, January 30, at 5:00 PM in person at the Agorà Room of I3P in Turin.

The Executive Master, now in its IX edition, is designed to respond to the growing demand for qualified professionals in the field of open innovation and the management of intellectual property protection. The program provides skills for studying the entire life cycle of innovation, from idea conception to creation, protection, commercial exploitation, and anti-competitive uses. The training program aims to provide targeted education to managers, entrepreneurs, and professionals who wish to acquire new skills to be more competitive in the workforce. Additionally, funding for 20 scholarships of €7,000 each is provided to partially cover the fee by the Trademarks and Patents Directorate of the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy.
