On Thursday, February 19, the second meeting of the year of the Op4Impact Community of Practice took place at the Cottino Social Impact Campus.

The meeting is part of the OP4Impact 2026 co-design pathway, involving the four professional bodies that make up the Community: the Order of Chartered Accountants and Accounting Experts of Turin, the Turin Bar Association, the Order of Labour Consultants of Turin, and the Notarial Council of the United Districts of Turin and Pinerolo. The process is supported and facilitated by Caterina Soldi of the Cottino Social Impact Campus.

Innovation and transformation are the guiding principles of the group’s work. The meeting focused on reflecting on the role of the Community of Practice in relation to the social economy, the Metropolitan Plan, and the contribution professionals can make in alignment with the principles and strategic objectives outlined in the Op4Impact Manifesto. It provided an opportunity to further define the Community’s added value and its ability to translate it into operational practices.

During the meeting, Mario Calderini — spokesperson for Torino Social Impact and Scientific Advisor at the Cottino Social Impact Campus — delivered a contribution on the social economy framework from both a national and international perspective.

His intervention offered an overview of the European and Italian context, with reference to key political and regulatory developments, highlighting Italy’s role as one of the most significant social economy ecosystems in Europe. The social economy was framed as a heterogeneous set of actors that, through different approaches, collaborate to jointly generate economic and social value.

The session concluded with a hands-on workshop led by Caterina Soldi, where participants worked in subgroups to explore how professional bodies can support organisations in social innovation processes, identifying key strategic levers and emerging needs within the social economy.
