From June 6 to 8, 2025, Spazio BAC (via Cottolengo 24 bis, Turin) hosts Territori Sociali / Focus Ambiente, a new theatre festival presented by Dispari Teatro as a preview of the 2025/2026 season. Three performances, three different artistic languages, one common thread: exploring our relationship with the environment and imagining new ways of living in the world.
How can we talk about the climate crisis without falling into clichés? How can theatre become a space for shared reflection that involves communities and local areas? Territori Sociali / Focus Ambiente was born from these questions, offering a journey that blends storytelling, stand-up comedy, poetry, and science communication.
The festival kicks off on Friday, June 6 at 7:00 PM with La Dama degli Argonauti, written and performed by Lorenza Zambon: a delicate and passionate tale dedicated to Jeannette Power, a pioneer of marine biology in the 19th century. A story that weaves together memory and the present, inviting us to reflect on our deep connection with nature.
On Saturday, June 7 at 7:00 PM, it’s time for Respiro, a witty and provocative monologue written and performed by Alberto Pagliarino, directed by Alessandra Rossi Ghiglione. Between sessions with a dentist-psychotherapist and anxiety about the planet’s future, the actor mixes comedy and investigative journalism. A show that uses irony to confront the audience with their own contradictions and the shared struggle to take action in the face of environmental emergency.
The festival concludes on Sunday, June 8 at 4:30 PM with Storie di Mamma Balena, a Dispari Teatro and Onda Teatro production for children aged 6 and up. Accompanied by a whale and Pinocchio, young audiences will be taken on a journey through the wonders of nature, discovering connection, transformation, and growth.
Theatre for everyone: the sustainable ticket
In line with the festival’s themes, access to all performances follows a sustainable pricing system. Audiences choose how much to pay from three options: €2, €5, or €10. The amount paid does not change the value of the experience, but increases its impact, making it accessible to more people. It’s a different model—one where the responsibility to keep spaces alive and promote an inclusive culture is shared between organizers and participants. A concrete step toward making culture more accessible and collective, where those who can contribute help ensure everyone’s participation.
Dispari Teatro: a new theatre hub between Turin and Cuneo
Dispari Teatro is a new Theatre Production Centre born from the collaboration between three organizations active in youth theatre and social/community theatre: Compagnia Il Melarancio (Cuneo), Onda Teatro, and Teatro Popolare Europeo (Turin). With venues and activities in both Turin (Spazio BAC) and Cuneo (Officina Santa Chiara), Dispari Teatro promotes a theatrical culture that places people, relationships, and communities at the heart of its mission. Through productions, training, cultural planning, and the organization of festivals and events, Dispari Teatro creates opportunities for art and society to meet—always with a focus on younger generations, accessibility, and social change.
