MailThe Gender Equality Community of Practice addresses an issue that is currently central to public debate, policymaking and major intervention programmes, including Italy’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP), which recognises gender equality as a cross-cutting priority.
Established in 2024, it provides a space for dialogue and exchange among public and private organisations and third-sector entities committed to creating fairer and more inclusive living and working environments. The participating organisations differ in size, nature and field of activity, but share the ambition of making gender equality a concrete driver of social and economic change.
The meetings are not simply information sessions, but opportunities for mutual listening and collective reflection on issues that affect the organisations’ day-to-day work: work-life balance and the role of parenthood; preventing and combating gender-based violence; integrating a gender perspective into European project design; accessibility and intersectionality in communication; and the most recent challenges associated with artificial intelligence and technology ethics.
The Community of Practice is guided by the belief that gender equality is not a sector-specific objective, but a cross-cutting driver of innovation and sustainability.
With regard to the Gender Equality Plan, the Community of Practice aims to promote greater awareness of this tool by exploring its objectives, structure and potential areas of application. The programme will also be enriched by institutional perspectives, providing useful references, guidance and practical examples.
The working group is led by Monica Cerutti, an expert in social inclusion and gender policies.
