The project promotes the introduction of new technologies, in particular the Internet of Things and tools for Big Data, to facilitate the development of new Circular Economy business models, based on sharing, reuse and regeneration.

OBJECTIVES

The project pursues the integration of the objectives of the EU action plan on Circular Economy, with specific actions aimed at the Alpine area and its peculiarities, with particular attention to SMEs and policymakers.

CIRCULAR4.0 aims to:

  • arise awareness for policymakers, entrepreneurs and intermediaries on Circular Economy and how it’s enabled by digital transformation
  • develop and test a series of tools that can facilitate the transition of SMEs to the Circular Economy, with particular attention to circular design models, optimal use models, value recovery models.

The project will produce a CIRCULAR 4.0 action plan to contribute to the transition to the Circular Economy in the alpine space through greater digitization of SMEs, creating added value for stakeholders in the alpine space and supporting EUSALP policies and macro-strategy.

CIRCULAR4.0 is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund through the Interreg Alpine Space Program.
