In September, October, and November 2025, the Piedmont, Liguria, and Valle d’Aosta group of the Italian Association of Social Planners (APIS) will host a series of three meetings to introduce the association and engage with interested participants on issues related to social planning and the professions connected to it.
The Italian Association of Social Planners promotes the professional role of the Social Planner by:
-
developing and proposing a social planning methodology valid at both national and European levels, based on effectiveness and efficiency criteria, capable of enhancing both the people involved in the project and the contexts impacted;
-
fostering cultural exchange and dialogue on social planning between the profit and non-profit sectors;
-
creating opportunities for continuous methodological exchange and collaboration between social planners and other professionals such as sociologists, psychologists, educators, healthcare operators, doctors, and social workers;
-
stimulating institutional debate on social planning, involving public and private stakeholders and decision-makers funding social initiatives and projects;
-
improving working and economic conditions for Social Planners and expanding their professional opportunities.
The seminar series aims to introduce APIS, promote the role of the social planner, build a network of professionals, and lay the groundwork for creating a community of practice.
