The Hub is born

Europe is increasingly investing in the social economy, recognizing it as a driver of sustainable and inclusive development. But accessing EU funds for the third sector and social enterprises requires skills, strategies, and strong partnerships.

To meet these needs, the European Projects Hub for the Social Economy was launched in 2023. It is an initiative by Torino Social Impact in collaboration with Weco Impresa Sociale, supported by the Torino Chamber of Commerce and the Compagnia di San Paolo Foundation.

Through its free offer of peer learning, networking, and tailored support, the Hub is a reference point for third-sector organizations, social impact enterprises, and innovation players looking to access European funding.

The Hub’s activities are guided by a Steering Committee that brings together key local institutions:

  • Torino Chamber of Commerce
  • City of Turin
  • Metropolitan City of Turin
  • University of Turin
  • Polytechnic University of Turin

Events

The first step is to understand the landscape of EU funding opportunities for the social economy. Through workshops, info sessions and thematic events, the Hub helps organizations and enterprises navigate funding calls and identify the most suitable opportunities for their needs.

Pathways

Having an idea is not enough — it must be shaped into a solid project. That’s why the Hub offers a tailored support programme where organizations are assisted by experts in a peer-to-peer logic, with the goal of transferring know-how and building long-term autonomy.

Network

EU project design is a team effort: partnerships are essential to access funding calls. The Hub facilitates connections between local actors and international stakeholders, leveraging the Torino Social Impact network and its trusted ecosystem.
