Founded in 2011 by Avanzi – Sustainability in action (today 100% shareholder), a|cube (former Make a Cube³) is a certified incubator (according to Law 221/12 on innovative startups) and accelerator specialized in companies with high social, environmental and cultural value.

It selects, assists in the early development, supports and (re)launches companies that make sustainability their strategic business asset.

In addition to working directly with and for young teams and companies, a|cube:

• supports medium and large enterprises to identify and interact with informal teams and startups in paths of open innovation, shared value and corporate citizenship.
• helps grantmakers (foundations and philanthropists) to improve the grant process through pre-incubation and incubation paths oriented to the strengthening of projects and a better selection of beneficiaries.
• works alongside public bodies (in particular local authorities) in the process of creating fertile ecosystems for the birth of businesses and in strengthening the capacity for entrepreneurial development in the territories.
• works with impact investors, microcredit institutions, crowdfunding platforms and banks to improve the selection processes and development paths of companies receiving equity, quasi-equity and debt financing.
