FAND Torino is the volunteer-based non-profit (ODV) that has supported people with diabetes and their families in the Turin area since 2019. It is part of FAND – the Italian Diabetes Association, the national network of diabetes patient associations.

Our mission is to improve the quality of life and psycho-social wellbeing of people with diabetes mellitus, protecting their moral, health and social interests through information, training and awareness activities aimed at people with diabetes, institutions and the wider community.

Our activities include: educational and group meetings on daily diabetes management, prevention campaigns and free screenings, promotion of healthy lifestyles (physical activity and balanced nutrition), support with disability procedures, legal matters and driving-licence renewal, and guidance within the National Health Service.

We join Torino Social Impact to build, together with the other players in the ecosystem, concrete responses to a chronic disease affecting a growing number of citizens, putting prevention and people’s health at the centre.
