Can artificial intelligence engage with classical and contemporary music to create something innovative together with the audience attending the concerts? And can it do so while also promoting emerging artists and involving new audiences, connecting them within a new cultural ecosystem?

Narrazioni Parallele is the journey that brings together and fosters dialogue between Natural Intelligences and Artificial Intelligence, innovating the world of music and cultural experiences.

Narrazioni Parallele launches two challenges.

Narrative-Contemporaneity invites young composers to present their musical works through nationwide open calls for composers. The creators of the selected compositions will have the opportunity to take part in a mentorship program featuring, among others, Davide “Boosta” Dileo. This journey will culminate in the live performance of their original compositions at the new Narrazioni Parallele festival, held in venues that go “beyond the usual places” of music.

Narrative-Participation will involve audiences in co-creating visions inspired by music and words—emerging from shared emotions and rhythms—within the Civic Libraries of Turin, in dialogue with Artificial Intelligence. Technology and the arts will be placed at the service of collective well-being.

These two parallel paths of innovation and participation will meet every year until 2026. The bridge that connects them: Generative Artificial Intelligence, thanks to a collaboration with the Politecnico di Torino – Department of Cinema and Media Engineering.

But that’s not all: the partnership with APIC (Association of Cochlear Implant Users) and MED-EL Italia makes the concerts and events of Narrazioni Parallele accessible to deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals.

Narrazioni Parallele is a winner of the three-year grant “Torino Che Cultura!” by the City of Turin, part of the PN METRO PLUS and Medium-Sized Cities South 2021–2027 program.
