Simone Gibellato

Casa di Carità Arti e Mestieri

Simone Gibellato is a European project designer and researcher with over five years of experience in sustainability, social and technological innovation. He holds a PhD in Innovation for the Circular Economy, focusing on the role of grassroots innovations and digital technologies in fostering sustainable and inclusive organizational models.
He has gained experience in managing and developing European and PNRR projects in the fields of green building, energy, ICT, and social and educational housing. His most relevant roles include Project Manager for the European project MOTO (EIT Urban Mobility), Grant & R&D Manager at Planet Smart City (Prolight project), and consultant for Fondazione Piemonte Innova on strategic design, governance, and impact.
Currently, he collaborates with the University of Turin on research enhancement and spin-off development, and with Casa di Carità Arti e Mestieri, where he is reviving European project design activities with a focus on Erasmus+ and new educational and social programmes. His work particularly targets vulnerable groups — youth at risk of school dropout, migrants, and incarcerated individuals — promoting inclusion, education, and social innovation.
