Paola Roveglia is a Senior Advisor for fund-raising at the Slow Food Foundation ETS. With over thirty years of professional experience, she has developed strong expertise in designing and managing initiatives funded by the European Union and private foundations, collaborating with international networks and institutional partners across multiple EU programmes.
For the past fifteen years, she has been working with Slow Food, deepening her focus on the sustainability of food systems — a core theme of the movement. She has co-designed and coordinated initiatives integrating research, education, and social innovation, promoting alliances among civil society, public institutions, and businesses, and enhancing food as both a cultural expression and a tool for dialogue among producers, consumers, chefs, and activists. Her work includes projects dedicated to protecting local communities’ gastronomic heritage, safeguarding traditional products and knowledge deeply rooted in territories, and promoting responsible consumption through healthy, sustainable, and accessible food choices. She has also led advocacy projects targeting European institutions, aiming to influence public policies toward more agroecological and sustainable models. Her main areas of interest include combating climate change and strengthening the relationship between urban and rural areas.
