Matteo Maritano is a European project designer and Third Sector professional who, since 2022, has been collaborating with the Europe Unit of Volontariato Torino ETS – the local Eurodesk point. In this role, he is involved in the writing, management, and monitoring of European projects (mainly Erasmus+ KA2, but also Horizon, CERV, and Interreg), both as lead partner and partner, in the socio-cultural, educational, and environmental fields.

He coordinates initiatives focused on active citizenship and youth engagement, and also delivers training activities on EU programmes for Civil Service volunteers, students, and non-profit operators, using a participatory and workshop-based approach.

Since January 2025, he has been collaborating with CSVnet, the Italian network of Volunteer Service Centres (CSV), in managing the Erasmus+ KA1 accreditation for the mobility of staff from Italian CSVs. His responsibilities include annual project design, participant selection, mobility support, monitoring, and reporting.

His main areas of expertise include youth participation, education for European and global citizenship, intercultural dialogue, and strengthening the Third Sector. His key competencies include project design (both local and European) across the entire project cycle, group facilitation, social impact evaluation, and the management of national and international partnerships.
