Marco Traversi, economist and social entrepreneur, is currently President of the Board of Directors of Project Ahead, a social cooperative enterprise founded in 2001 and active in the management of funded projects in the fields of business creation, youth employment services, consultancy for the Third Sector and social enterprises, and social innovation.

From 2009 to 2013, he served as a board member of Euclid Network, the European network of Third Sector leaders, and in 2009 he founded and became President of I-SIN, the first Italian network of social innovators. He has held various roles within civil society organizations, particularly with Confcooperative Napoli, Federsolidarietà Campania, and the National Third Sector Forum.

In 2014, he was a member of the GECES working group of the Italian Ministry of Labour and Social Policies, contributing to the reform of legislation on the Third Sector and social enterprise in Italy, as well as participating in the working groups of the Italian G8 Task Force on Impact Investing. In 2018, he was a member of the advisory board of the Social Fund of Threadneedle Investments.

Marco has a background in economics and extensive experience in the programming of structural funds, as well as in managing European projects and delivering training on business creation and social innovation.
