Clio Flego is a project manager and researcher specialized in the design and management of European projects with social and cultural impact. She has extensive experience in creating collaborative ecosystems between universities, institutions, and local communities. She currently works at Ulysseus European University at the University of Genoa, where she coordinates the Robotics Innovation Hub, developing projects in the technological, educational, and sustainability fields such as PATH – Personalised AI Tool for etHical Career Guidance (ethical career guidance based on AI) and ENRICHER – Designing Green Tourism Concepts Through Learning (sustainable tourism).
Previously, she directed the Arts, Tourism and Heritage Innovation Hub, accelerating the creation of more than twenty Horizon Europe and Erasmus+ proposals, including the funded projects COMAI (artificial intelligence and inclusion), COBRING and CitiesMD (smart cities and urban cohesion), SMILE (life sciences), and NEEMA (biotechnologies).
An expert in participatory project design, public engagement, and partnership building, she integrates interdisciplinary approaches that connect art, science, technology, and social impact. Her key competencies include strategic management of transnational networks, science communication, and the sustainable development of cultural innovation.
