Tedacà APS ETS is a social promotion association and theatre company based in Turin, active for over twenty years in the field of performing arts. Since 2006, it has managed Teatro Bellarte, a multidisciplinary venue recognized by the City of Turin as a youth cultural center, serving both as a community hub and a laboratory for cultural and social experimentation. Recognized by the Italian Ministry of Culture as an Innovation Theatre Production Company, Tedacà has consolidated an artistic vision that intertwines aesthetic quality with civic engagement. In co-production with the Teatro Stabile di Torino / National Theatre, it toured with the play Fine Pena Ora by Elvio Fassone, which sold out numerous times and also attracted international attention. Since 2018, Tedacà has been one of the promoters of Fertili Terreni Teatro, a network of Turin theatres experimenting with innovative models of cultural management and shared programming.
The association’s social commitment is expressed through numerous projects aimed at accessibility, inclusion, and intercultural dialogue. Among them: the production of Silent Scream, in collaboration with the Festival delle Colline Torinesi—an artistic manifesto on the Deaf community featuring two Deaf signing performers, which has been hosted in several academic and university contexts; the creation and organization of six editions of the Festival of Migrations; the project Out is the new In, dedicated to the empowerment of people with disabilities; and training activities combining theatre, dance, and music to promote well-being, awareness, and active participation.
Tedacà also organizes Evergreen Fest, a summer festival combining performances, music, workshops, and talks, with over 50 days of free programming and thousands of participants every year. The association is also strongly committed to environmental sustainability, through ecological transition projects and cultural innovation initiatives supported by national and European funding schemes.
In recent years, Tedacà has received numerous acknowledgments and support from institutions such as Compagnia di San Paolo, Fondazione Piemonte dal Vivo, Fondazione Time2, the Italian Ministry of Culture, and the European Union, confirming its capacity to design and deliver high-quality cultural, educational, and social initiatives. Over time, Tedacà has also gained significant experience in managing and participating in European projects, both as lead partner and as partner organization. Recently, the association was selected by Green Culture, a European training program for the ecological transition of the cultural sector; it took part in Performing Natural Intelligence, an international project developed with the Deutsches Theater | Junges DT in Berlin; and in the YouPerform Festival, organized by the Katona József Theater in Budapest.
