Its commitment to vocational training, support for professional and social inclusion, and lifelong human capital development enables Casa di Carità Arti e Mestieri to promote growth and innovation in the territories where it operates. The Foundation works with a strong sense of responsibility and solidarity, with particular attention to individuals at risk of social exclusion.

The Foundation operates at the national level, with 14 local branches across the regions of Piedmont, Veneto, Sardinia, and Aosta Valley, as well as a partnership in Liguria. It also participates in European projects alongside international partners.

Casa di Carità Arti e Mestieri provides guidance and training services to a wide range of beneficiaries: adolescents, apprentices, high school and university graduates, workers, unemployed individuals, migrants, youth at risk, people facing social disadvantage, individuals involved in the justice system, and many others.

The organization operates through public funding and commissioned projects from companies, private clients, associations, and public administrations, offering training and upskilling for various professional profiles across multiple sectors: industry, crafts, services, tourism, and personal care. Social activities are carried out in collaboration with local networks to support people undergoing training.

In addition to training and job placement activities, it has developed significant expertise in the field of staff development to support the growth of companies.

The Foundation believes that professionalism – understood as a core human value – is essential to achieving development goals rooted in justice and equity, from several perspectives:

Educational
Professional training engages individuals in a comprehensive learning process that includes not only job-related skills but also active citizenship, collaboration, personal responsibility, solidarity, cultural growth, and the development of a mature identity capable of integrating into social and civic life.

Political
By promoting and strengthening professionalism for all – through qualification, requalification, and continuous training – it becomes possible to develop active labor policies that enable individuals to participate in socio-economic life, maintain their professional roles, update their skills, and exercise their civil rights to participation and equality.

Economic
Promoting professionalism enhances human resources, fosters social inclusion, and improves quality of life. It helps overcome unemployment and the rapid obsolescence of skills, which generate not only unacceptable social conditions but also significant economic disparities.

Social
Developing professionalism contributes to the dynamic and progressive evolution of work organization, interpersonal relationships, and production processes, moving toward cooperation and sustainable development. It also enables individuals to find their place within local communities, strengthening social cohesion, reducing conflict, and increasing collective well-being.

Ethical
Through the process of building their professional identity, individuals can develop a personal ethic based on respect for themselves, others, and the environment. They are encouraged to reflect on moral and spiritual questions about the purpose of human existence and can find opportunities for meaningful exploration within the educational environment.
