The former Dora Vanchiglia Police Headquarters at Corso Farini 20 is currently undergoing renovation and redevelopment to give rise to TOHOUSING+: a multifunctional centre that builds on and expands the social housing experience launched with the TOHOUSING project, located just a few buildings away, and that provides services for the entire local and neighborhood community.

TOHOUSING+ is grounded in local context life, social mix, inclusion, and local development. Its aim is to generate systemic and long-lasting change by responding to the needs of people at risk of exclusion and marginalisation, particularly elederly people, low-income families, and migrants.

Through ongoing active listening and a strong on-the-ground presence, Quore has identified widespread vulnerabilities and chosen to address them with the support of the City of Turin through funds from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) – Mission 5 “Inclusion and Cohesion”, as well as through the essential contribution of long-standing supporters and new partnerships that will be able to make a significant and visible impact.

At the heart of the project will be a reception and social housing service, designed to welcome LGBTQIA+ people in difficulty, facilitate access to neighborhood resources, and support social and labour market reintegration. The project will also include training activities, workshops, cultural initiatives, and social spaces open to the entire community, hosted in both indoor and outdoor areas.

TOHOUSING+ will continue to strengthen a community development pathway that began in 2019, with the aim of promoting collective well-being and building a truly inclusive and welcoming proximity-based network.
